Is materialisation of physical objects as demonstrated by some of the spiritually developed or otherwise advanced human beings, whom we all would like to generally brand as simply magicians, or illusionists..
possible?
Yes it is!
Satya Sai Baba’s master stroke was materializing “vibhootis” and several other objects including chocolates for children.
Few so called professional magicians, of course, tried to emulate Sai Baba & did “tricks” to convince their audience that real materialisation of objects was impossible and unscientific. For them its all a sleight of hands.
Among quite a good number of “materialisations” witnessed by me at different places, im different times,
the one that is narrated below was demonstrated in the drawing room of our quarters in Kahalgaon, Bhagalpur, Bihar
in the year 1992.
My good friend who was the Editor n Publisher of a crime magazine, “Bihar Adalat” during a casual discussion, talked about a Tantric who lived alone in a hut on the bank of Ganga, flowing far and wide like an ocean.
At Kahalgaon, (around 35 km from the district head quarters of Bhagalpur), one of the oldest municipalities of Bihar,
Ganges takes a turn and flows towards the North, its origin, for almost over 13 km as “Uttarayani” Ganga, ie; Ganga that flows towards the North and “Uttarauani Ganga” is considered very holy, due to its high magnetic current.
Among such four “Uttarayani” Ganga, (Haridwar, Sultanganj, Varanasi & Kahalgaon),
Uttarayani Ganga at Kahalgaon is the longest & was also called ” Gupt Kasi” ( the hidden Kasi) where Lord Siva first discended on earth before moving to the present day Kasi (or Varanasi).
Now coming back to this Tantrik, my editor friend said the Tantric, a Devi Upasak rarely travel outside his hut and was supposed to posses rare super human powers, including bringing back the dead to life etc.
Then he said, if possible, he will try to coax him to visit me in person.
After few days of our meeting, one fine Sunday afternoon, around 4 p.m.,
someone knocked the door & i opened up the door.
We saw one short and lean person in white kurta pyjama with folded hands; accompanied by my friend, the Editor sahib & his young reporter.
We ushered them in; the Editor and his reporter sat on the other side, myself & the Tantric on a sofa on the facing side.
My Mother-in-law from Kerala was with us, wife and our two children; and as a formality, introduced them all.
The Tantric said :
” i rarely go out travelling but this person being so close to me, could not avoid coming along with him to meet you in person & he had told me you were keen to meet me” etc.
Then he asked my wife in Hindi:
” Bhabhi please get me some flowers and agarbati”
and then the reporter told “Bhabhiji, matches bhi laana! (bring match box too..) & the Tantric immediately said
“No need of any match box…
It will (agarbattis) will light up by itself!” ( woh apane aap jalega..)
By that time, children brought some Hibiscus flowers and buds from the garden and gave them to the Tantrik.
The Tantric blew on one Hibiscus bud & lo! we all saw some sparks n fire from it & he threw the flower buds on to the corner, and kept only the other flowers in the centre table, in a small plate.
The Tantric then rolled up a piece of news paper; blew on it whispering something and it was in fine flame; the Tantric then lighted up the bunch of agarbattis and put the burned papers into a small tin there.
The Tantric then asked
“Bhabhiji bring here again glass full of wheat flour (aatta) In a plate & bring it very carefully!”
Then the Tantric asked me to hold the steel plate in which a steel glass full of heaped wheat flour was put and rise it up above my head and keep it steady without moving. Then
he asked me to guess the approx weight of the plate and glass full of wheat flour which i was holding.
I said it was approx 450 grams or so.
Then he took the small tin, in into which he had earlier put the burned up newspaper after lightning up those agarbattis, and turned it around and covered the glass with wheat flour with this tin.
I was wondering what this man was doing with all these weird actions…
He looked thru the window, murmuring some incomprehensible syllables ,asked me once again whether the weight i was holding remained the same or changed.
I said in the affirmative ie; no change in weight.
Suddenly then he removed the tin covering the steel glass full of wheat flour i was holding & lo!
to everyone’s amazemment, the glass was full of “cham chams” a special Bihari sweet Laddus!
I extended the plate to the Tantrik requesting him to take one piece and he denied. He asked me to distribute to everyone myself.
In all there were eleven Laddus;
and two pieces were kept overnight separately by my wife to see whether those Laddus would dosappear!
No, it didn’t vanish & the next day, these two sweet cham’chams were given to our house maid..
I asked the Tantrik two questions.
How those burned up newspaper in the tin vanish?
How the wheat flour disappeared and instead how the glass was filled with the Laddus?
He gave me a pertinent answer.
Sir, we get nothing for free!..
Secondly, we’ve to replace those Laddus tele transported by spirits with something else.
Here laddus were replaced by wheat flour!…very logical indeed
His answer was quite convincing except the sorcery and the technologyy behind the
“tele transportation”..
Yes, it was not fake and simple act of materializing something very sweet for all of us assembled there in the drawing room, before the sun disappeared in the sky for the day.
The Tantric spent some more time with us entertaining our children with pure magic and tricks.
Yes, there are many more such experiences encountered in life
which were all
materialisations, which others may scoff at as hallucinations or just magical tricks.
